Roots, character, childhood, personality.. who stands behind that embroidered chef jacket? This month: Chef Smita, Executive Pastry Chef at the Grand Hyatt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chef Smita Grosse, first female Executive Pastry Chef at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, was born and raised in Mauritius where she also started her career in 2001 as a Pastry and Kitchen trainee at One&amp;Only Le Saint G\u00e9ran hotel. A little further down the road, she has developed a solid experience, working in many world renowned establishments, from Dubai to Jakarta. As an Executive Pastry Chef today, her role is to create, coach, develop and train her pastry team everyday, but also inspire them.<\/p>\n<p>For us in this interview, the Chef kindly accepted to drop cooking ustensils for a more personal interview and share about her tattoo story.
